With a fleet of nearly 530 aircraft, United Express, the regional subsidiary of legacy carrier United Airlines, provides service primarily to smaller destinations across the United States. Subcontracting services under the scope clause to SkyWest Airlines, Republic Airways, Mesa Airlines, GoJet Airlines, and CommuteAir, the airline flies a variety of regional routes with numerous Embraer and Bombardier jets. In this article, we'll break down the carrier's operations out of United's seven hub airports.

United Airlines actually maintains eight hubs, but United Express services are not operated out of the carrier's Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport (GUM) in Guam.

East Coast hubs

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

Out of the airline's primary East Coast hub, the carrier serves 56 destinations with year-round service and another six destinations with seasonal flights. Notably, the carrier serves multiple international destinations from Newark, with United Express flights to Montreal and Havana, alongside other Canadian destinations. The airline also flies routes as short as Newark to Philadelphia from this hub and as long as Newark to Austin, Texas from this hub.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

From the carrier's Washington, DC hub, United Express connects the American capital to 46 cities with four additional seasonal services. Of these routes, the majority connect to smaller cities along the Atlantic seaboard, however, some flights travel as far as San Antonio, Texas.

Central US hubs

Chicago-O'Hare International Airport (ORD)

United Express connects Chicago with 107 different destinations across the entire United States, including some destinations on the East Coast such as Charlotte, NC, and some airports on the West Coast such as Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT). The carrier also provides service to twelve different seasonal destinations, which are primarily ski resorts in the Rocky Mountain region.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

From Houston, United Express flies to 86 destinations across the Caribbean, South, and Rocky Mountain regions, including multiple destinations in Mexico. The carrier also connects 15 sunny vacation destinations and ski resort towns with seasonal service. Additionally, the carrier has announced that service to Bradley International Airport (BDL), which serves western Massachusetts and central Connecticut, will resume in March 2024 after a service suspension.

Denver International Airport (DEN)

The carrier's largest operations are based out of United's Denver hub, including year-round service to 110 destinations alongside 10 seasonal services. Four additional flights are set to join the list on September 29th, with connections to Asheville, NC, Dayton, OH, Greensboro, NC, and Lexington, KY entering the United Express network. Out of Denver, the carrier serves destinations as nearby as Western Nebraska Regional Airport (BFF) in Scottsbluff, NE, and Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) in Madison, WI.

West Coast hubs

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

From San Francisco, the carrier serves 29 destinations with year-round service, alongside thirteen seasonal destinations, most of which are resort towns such as Aspen, CO, or Sun Valley, ID. In the past, United Express has served airports such as Chico Municipal Airport (CIC).

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

United Express flies to 22 different cities year-round from Los Angeles and an additional 10 seasonally. Primarily, year-round flights connect Los Angeles with other cities in the American Southwest and in California while seasonal services are to ski resort towns such as Steamboat Springs, CO or Jackson Hole, WY.
