July 7th: Icelandair Leaves Boeing For Airbus
Icelandair has switched allegiance with a surprising order for the forthcoming long-range narrowbody from Airbus. The Icelandic carrier today placed a firm order for 13 of the A321XLR. Alongside this, the carrier has stated its intentions to lease four A321LRs in the interim, giving it a fleet size of 17.

July 5th: Viva Aerobus Signs MoU For 90 Airbus A321neo Aircraft
Viva Aerobus and Airbus announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 90 Airbus A321neo aircraft would bring the fleet of the Mexican ultra-low-cost carrier to 170 A320 family aircraft.

June 1st: Air Algérie Orders Airbus A350s & A330neos
Algeria's national carrier has signed a firm order with global manufacturer Airbus for seven widebody aircraft to boost its commercial operations and support its fleet development plans. Air Algérie's order includes five A330neos and two A350-1000s, with delivery expected to commence in the second half of 2025. This allows the airline to take full advantage of the versatility of Airbus products as it operates flights on various intra-Africa and intercontinental routes.

June 19-23: Paris Air Show
Naturally, there was a small flood of orders concentrated during the Paris Air Show. Despite some huge volumes, the actual number of announcements left a lot to be desired. June 21st: Lessor Avolon Orders 20 Airbus A330neos
Leasing giant Avolon has signed up with Airbus for a total of 20 A330neos. At present, the order is a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and all for the more popular variant, the A330-900. Deliveries will begin in 2026 and are forecast to be complete by 2028.

June 20th: Philippine Airlines Firms 9 Airbus A350-1000s
Airbus kicked off day 2 of the Paris Air Show with the firming up of an order for nine A350-1000s. The recipient will be Philippine Airlines, which signed a memorandum of understanding for the fleet of widebodies back in May.

June 20th: Qantas Finalizes 9 Airbus A220 Order
Qantas has gone ahead and finalized its commitment to nine additional Airbus A220 aircraft, over and above the initial order of 20 A220s it placed last year. The airline is keen on adding these narrowbody jets to its fleet as a replacement for its older Boeing 717 planes.

June 19th: flynas Firms 30 Airbus A320neo Family Orders
flynas has officially firmed up an order for 30 new Airbus A320neo family aircraft. This move takes the low-cost carrier’s total deal to 120 A320neo family jets. Looking to reach new long-haul destinations across its route map, flynas’ agreement includes 10 A321XLRs. These planes will join the airline’s existing fleet of 21 A320neos, 13 A320ceos, and four A330-300s. Between January and the end of this year, 19 A320neos would have been added to the operator's fleet. Four have already been delivered in 2023 alone.

June 19th: Air Mauritius Adds 3 Airbus A350 Orders
After a quiet first morning, Airbus opened its account at this year's Paris Air Show. Announcing an order for three of its long-range A350-900 widebodies from Air Mauritius. As the national airline of the Indian Ocean island nation of Mauritius, Air Mauritius is adding the three additional A350-900s to its existing fleet to expand its international network to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.

May 23rd: Lufthansa Takes Even More Airbus A350s
Lufthansa has added to its order book by purchasing another four twin-engine Airbus A350-900 widebodies. The Cologne-headquartered German flag carrier and Star Alliance founding member is now the A350's third-largest customer.

May Total: 63 Deliveries & 17 Orders
Airbus delivered 63 aircraft to 36 customers in May and had 17 gross orders. BOC Aviation ordered seven A320neos, nine were ordered by an undisclosed customer, and Delta Air Lines ordered another A330-900 (A330neo).

April 6th: Azerbaijan Airlines Orders 12 Airbus A320neos
Azerbaijan's flag carrier Azerbaijan Airlines announced that it had signed a deal with aircraft manufacturer Airbus for 12 new planes. The deal will see the airline acquire 12 members from the highly efficient family of Airbus A320neo airliners. The dozen aircraft will consist of a mix of A320neos and A321neos. The airline is looking to acquire these aircraft to help expand its fleet and increase capacity while reducing operating costs.

April Total: 54 Aircraft Delivered
In April 2023, the European aircraft manufacturer delivered a total of 54 aircraft and took orders for five more. Of the deliveries, 48 were of narrowbody aircraft, and six were of widebody aircraft. All but one of the five orders were for narrowbody aircraft.

March 2nd: Lufthansa Orders 15 More Airbus A350s
The Lufthansa Group revealed that it had upped its orders for widebodies from both major plane makers by 22. The German airline group has announced that the order comprises 15 A350s from both variants, alongside seven more Boeing 787-9s.

March Total: 20 Orders & 61 Deliveries
Airbus revealed it booked orders for 20 aircraft and delivered 61 in March. The March deliveries went to 37 customers and included five A220-300s, 26 A320neos, 25 A321neos, three A330-900s, and two A350-900s.

Feb 14th: Huge Air India Order (250 Planes)
Air India ordered a total of 210 A320neo family aircraft from Airbus yesterday. These are split into 140 A320neos and 70 A321neos. It will also induct India’s first Airbus widebody - the A350-900 - likely before the end of this year, as it will take unclaimed aircraft originally destined for Aeroflot. Later, a fleet of 34 A350-1000s will begin to arrive.

February Total: 99 Aircraft ordered
February seemed much better for the European planemaker, with 99 total orders placed, according to the manufacturer's monthly press release. However, 50 Airbus A321neos and 23 Airbus A350-1000s were Qatar Airways aircraft that were canceled during a now-ended legal spat between the two parties. British Airways ordered seven Airbus A320neos and three Airbus A321neos. Airbus has not disclosed the customer(s) of the other 15 Airbus A320neo orders or a single Airbus ACJ319neo.

Delta Air Lines has firmed up options for 12 more Airbus A220-300s, taking Delta to 60 outstanding A220-300 orders. The efficient single-aisle jets will begin arriving from 2026 through 2027 as Delta enters an exciting period of narrowbody fleet renewal.

Jan 20th: Uzbekistan Airways Orders 12 A320neo Family Jets
Uzbekistan Airways today revealed an order for 12 aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family. The Uzbek flag carrier already operates a fleet of 17 CEO A320 family aircraft. It has yet to decide which engines to equip its new order with.

Jan 27th: KLM Cargo Orders 4 Airbus A350Fs
KLM Cargo has committed to renewing its present freighter fleet by ordering four examples of Airbus' recently-launched A350F model. Martinair will operate these aircraft, with their deliveries commencing sooner than was initially planned. The move will see Martinair switch from an all-Boeing fleet to all-Airbus.
