It's not just the airlines that are consulting with some of the world's top chefs, private jet operators are too. Bringing that extra luxury to the skies, some of the biggest VIP operators are upgrading for a Michelin touch to their inflight meals. Often, clients are used to eating in some of the world's best restaurants and do ask for their favorite meals to be brought onboard. It's only natural that operators will look to up their game.

VistaJet

VistaJet has a partnership with chef Nobu Matsuhisa on flights from the US to provide exclusive meals for its well-established clients. Such menus have included yellowtail jalapeno, black cod with miso, prime beef tenderloin, and salmon dry miso, along with sushi and vegan options.

Flexjet offers its signature 'Red Label Service' to cater to a wide selection of tastes and preferences and source local favorite foods.

The Grand Tour of Europe

A luxury tour operator in the UK is offering a tour of Europe by private jet. This will take place on an Embraer Legacy ER135 for just 15 passengers. It will cost around $150,000 and will hop around the Adriatic Riviera and Greek islands.

The meals served will be from 'Mossiman's,' a London-based members-only fine dining club known to have provided royal wedding banquets at Buckingham Palace. It is headed by famous 2-star Michelin chef Anton Mossiman.

Schubach Aviation

The team at the US operator Schubach Aviation partnered with Michelin Bib Gourmand Award winner chef Brian Redzikowski to redefine their culinary experience. He is from The Waverley in San Diego and worked previously at Le Cirque, Nobu, and Joel Robuchon.

He promises progressive American cuisine with European influences. Also taken into consideration is that meals can be served chilled or at room temperature when aircraft have limited galley facilities. On their menu is grilled Baja tuna tataki, harissa grilled shrimp, and Mediterranean mezze, to name a few.

PRIVAJET

Europe's PRIVAJET has decided to operate its Boeing Business Jet with a two-star Michelin chef on each flight. Both chefs will work on rotation and are from Brussels restaurant Yves Mattagne's Sea Grill. Guests can expect dishes such as caviar, beef tenderloin, and char with cucumber, yogurt, and yuzu dressing or red tuna lacquered with plum sauce.
